Care Group Weekend

Our next care group weekend is Friday, July 4th through Monday, July 7th. Care Group #7 will meet briefly on Sunday, July 6th. Please contact your Elder to find out when your group meeting will take place.

Food Pantry Donations

The Food Pantry is asking for donations to help us fight hunger in our communities throughout the months of June and July. For more information, please see Sister Via Harrell.

It's Picnic Time Again!

The Christ Bible Church Annual Picnic will be held on Saturday, July 19th, 10:00am-4:00pm in Jackson Park at Grove #7 (behind the Museum of Science and Industry). Maps to our location and a signup sheet for side dishes will be forthcoming.

Sunday, June 29th is the last day to order and pay for your picnic t-shirts. T-shirts are $7 for youth XS through adult XL; add $1.50 more per X through an adult 5X.

Youth in Action!

Advancing in Youth Employment is a new program of Impact Ministries. Beginning July 1, 2008 we will offer two classes that will train individuals 16 and older on resume preparation, job search, interviewing techniques, customer service, job performance, etc. The classes are being held at CBC Tuesday through Thursday 10:00am-12:00pm. Class signup will be available on Friday, June 27th, 9:00am-3:00pm at CBC. Please contact Donald Conley or Tina Harris at 773.734.2933 for more information.

New Discipleship Training Class

The Sunday School department is starting a new training class entitled "Discipleship: The Next Step". The class is designed to equip the new Christianand all church members with a basic essential knowledge of the Word of God. The focus is to develop a simplified approach to Bible study, prayer, our Christian walk, spiritual warfare, and personal witnessing. Women's Day

Women's Day is August 10th and quickly approaching! Come join your sisters in Christ as we sing praise to The MOST HIGH GOD for He is worthy! Our next rehearsal is Tuesday, July 1st at 7:00pm at CBC. For more information, please see Kimberly McEwen or Marie Rogers.

Healthcare Outreach

We are looking for healthcare professionals to participate in our outreach efforts on the 4th and 5th Sunday of each month until September. We need people to take BPs and glucose finger sticks after the 11:00am service while members are out doing the street evangelism. Women Ambassadors For Christ Retreat

The WAFC is accepting deposits for their 3rd annual retreat, scheduled for Friday, November 7th through Sunday, November 9th, 2008. Once again, we will be at the Chicago Marriott Oak Brook Hotel. There is an early registration discount for those who pay in full by July 1, 2008. Currently there are no scholarships available. However, you can begin bringing even small payments at this time.
