When What You Want is Overruled by God

Mar 2, 2025    Pastor Steven Pettis Jr

What do you do when God’s plan disrupts your own? When He calls you to something that challenges your fears, your logic, or even your desires? In Acts 9:13-16, Ananias wrestles with God’s command to go to Saul—a man known for persecuting Christians. Like Ananias, we often hesitate when God’s direction feels risky or uncomfortable. But as we’ll see in this sermon, God does not negotiate His will—He overrules for His greater purpose.

Join us as we explore how to move from hesitation to obedience, how to trust God’s sovereignty over our limited perspective, and how to remember that our lives are not about our comfort, but about His glory.
